Health Related Scholarship Opportunities听听
The following funding competitions related to health-related research are now open. These are not limited to students in any particular program.听
The Scotia Scholars Award provides financial support to research trainees with exceptional potential who are engaged in health research at participating Nova Scotia institutions. Funding for this award is provided by the Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness.听
The MSSU Student Awards offer funding opportunities for graduate students pursuing patient-oriented health research. Students must be entering or enrolled in a Master鈥檚 or Doctoral program in Nova Scotia or Prince Edward Island, and supervised by an听MSSU Associate Scientist.听听
This award is offered annually to a minimum of two recipients. In addition to receiving this prestigious recognition, BRIC NS will contribute an award of $1,500 (non-renewable) to assist the recipient in furthering their research.听听

VANIER CANADA GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS COMPETITION
听
The听Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships Competition听for doctoral researchers is opened for this year. Canada鈥檚 most prestigious and highest valued award for doctoral researchers.
听
The Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships program is designed to support world-class students pursuing doctoral degrees at Canadian universities. It is also open to International students. The scholarship awards $50,000 per year for three years. The program is open to both Canadian and international students. Students must be nominated by the Canadian university at which they plan to study.

Interested applicants are recommended to consult their supervisor, graduate coordinator and the Faculty of Graduate Studies (fgs.slo@dal.ca) well in advance of the internal deadline to express their intent to seek a nomination.
TRI-AGENCY CGS-D FELLOWSHIPS
For students who are currently registered in a degree program at 最新杏吧原创 (even if on a leave of absence) or who were registered in a degree program at 最新杏吧原创 at any time during the current calendar year. This scholarship is open to Canadian citizens and permanent residence.

TRI-AGENCY CGS-M FELLOWSHIPS
The federal Tri-Agencies (CIHR, NSERC and SSHRC) and their provincial counterparts are dedicated to the creation of new knowledge for the benefit of all Canadians.听These agencies support master鈥檚 students through the听Canadian Graduate Scholarships-Master鈥檚 Program.

KILLAM POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIPS
Izaak Walton Killam Postdoctoral Fellowships are awarded annually at 最新杏吧原创 to recently graduated scholars of superior academic research ability in any discipline.听 The awards are tenable only at 最新杏吧原创; however, students who have received their doctorate from 最新杏吧原创 are not eligible.
