Description:
Upcoming Workshop: March 30th.
Ergonomic injuries are a cause of increasing concern in workplaces. Awkward postures, overuse and exertion, as well as personal risk factors can result in cumulative injuries due to repetitive strain of musculo-skeletal systems. If not addressed, such injuries may result in discomfort and pain for employees, resulting in lost time and absenteeism. This session will provide an overview of office ergonomics, particularly as related to the use of computer workstations in typical offices. Preventative measures to reduce such injuries will be recommended and discussed. The session will be of particular interest to office workers and managers who spend the majority of their time at the computer.
