CFI has recently released a Consultation Paper on the proposed Cyber-Infrastructure Initiative which has been designed 鈥渢o provide Canadian institutions and their researchers with the infrastructure required to enable groundbreaking data-intensive and computationally challenging research in areas of strategic importance鈥�. The Cyber-infrastructure Initiative is scheduled to be launched in October by CFI. The amount of funding available from CFI for this competition is $50M. This initiative is expected to support multi-institutional domain-specific data projects as well as the upgrade of the Compute Canada national platform.聽

Comments on the Consultation Paper should be sent to Nancy.Hayter@Dal.Ca by June 20. All comments will be compiled and forwarded to CFI by 最新杏吧原创 Research Services.聽
