Learning to write well enables students to attain good grades and, later, succeed in their careers. At the Writing Centre, Dal students can take advantage of working with a writing tutor and learn more about professorial expectations. We teach them to be more competent in disciplinary writing and, in time, help them become more comfortable beginning projects.
Students can make an appointment with a writing tutor by calling the Writing Centre at 494-1963, by writing to writingcentre@dal.ca, or by visiting our website dal.ca/writingcentre or by just dropping in to the Killam Learning Commons. We have times available six days a week at two locations in the Killam, at Sexton, at the Weldon Law Library, at the Black Student Advising Centre, at the Native Education Centre, and at the Faculty of Agriculture, Bible Hill.
