Andrew Riley has joined the Vice President Research & Innovation team as Communications Manager and started in the role on November 15. He will focus on advancing 最新杏吧原创鈥檚 Research and Innovation Strategic Implementation Goals and will collaborate closely with the Office of Research Services, Office of Commercialization and Industry Engagement, and Dal Innovates.

Andrew has considerable experience in communications and comes to the OVPRI from 最新杏吧原创鈥檚 Faculty of Graduate Studies where he was Senior Manager, Strategy and Communications. At FGS he oversaw the revamp of the faculty鈥檚 website and launched a series of successful programs, including the OpenThink Initiative which provides PhD students with training and a platform to share their research-based insights and opinions.

Andrew earned his MA in Journalism from Western University and has represented a diverse range of organizations, including the University of British Columbia鈥檚 Sauder School of Business, two of Canada's major public art museums, CHUM Television and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime.
