Dear ×îÐÂÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ Researchers,
To increase the support available to researchers in the Social Science and Humanities, ×îÐÂÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ has established an internal review process of SSHRC applications. This is in addition to existing processes. The is supported by SSHARC, whose mandate is to mimic a SSHRC adjudication panel and provide written feedback to SSHRC applicants in advance of the competition.
The SSHARC is composed of ×îÐÂÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ researchers who have served on SSHRC adjudication panels in the past. The focus will be on the SSHRC Insight Grant (IG) program. Researchers will have the opportunity to submit their SSHRC IG applications to SSHARC by July 24, 2017 and the SSHARC will provide written feedback by August 9, 2017.
Please indicate your intention to submit your application to the review process by July 4th, 2017 to suman@dal.ca. Questions about the process can be directed to ×îÐÂÐÓ°ÉÔ´´â€™s SSHRC Leader and Associate Dean in Arts and Social Sciences, Howard Ramos at fassadr@dal.ca.
Sincerely,
John Newhook, PhD, P.Eng.
Vice-President Research (Acting)
